The RDPRM (Registre des droits personnels et réels mobiliers) is Quebec's public registry of rights on movable property: movable hypothecs, instalment sales, finance leases, prior notices of exercise, marriage contracts, succession rights, and more.
Established by articles 2934 and following of the Civil Code of Quebec, the RDPRM contains 112 official natures de droit. It is administered by the Ministère de la Justice du Québec and accessible online via the registry portal.
An RDPRM search is essential in several contexts: buying a used vehicle to check for residual hypothecs, pre-financing due diligence in commercial deals, title searches in estate files, security verification in finance leases.
An RDPRM extract is a structured list of inscriptions, each with a date, a nature de droit, parties (creditor/debtor, holder/grantor, etc.), an amount, and sometimes a vehicle identified by its VIN. Tablix automates the conversion of these extracts into delivery-ready Word or Excel tables.
